Existentialism is simply defined:  When we believe our experience is the total truth.

However, we see the world as we are, not as it truly is. Depending on our experiences, our hurts, and our circumstances, we will see the world through the lens of that reality.

How important is it then to consider that our opinion and perceived truth, may just be an invention of our imagination and not completely genuine.  Life is too important to leave it all hanging on our own perception or sentiment.

The truth is much more than the sum total of our experience and life much more than the sum total of what we feel. That is why we need a spiritual voice in our head, directing our thoughts and steps.

The inexpressible craving and dissatisfaction that you feel deep in your soul, is itself the Evidence that you are subconsciously searching for a Divine Presence in your life.

My favourite author states:  You who in your heart are Longing for Something More than this world can give, recognise this longing as the Voice of God to Your Soul… STC p.28
